About the Program

Who is it for?

Wheelchair basketball is one of the most inclusive sports in the world — anyone can play, regardless of whether they use a wheelchair in daily life. All participants use sports wheelchairs during sessions, putting everyone on an equal playing field.

The Term 2 pilot proved it belongs here. Now officially extended, Wheelchair Hoops sits alongside our player pathways — basketball for all, delivered with Basketball Victoria's Wheelchair Basketball team and GippSport, led by trained coaches, and built around skill development, fun drills, and gameplay to finish every session.

Whether you’re looking to try something new, find a supportive community, reconnect with basketball after an injury, or simply have fun with your family — this program is for you.
