We target a minimum of six teams per division and create as many divisions as necessary for an even, balanced competition. How divisions work ↓
Three senior competitions, one association. Rather than fixing the number of grades in advance, we shape divisions around the teams that enter — so every team finds a level where games are genuinely competitive.
Played Monday nights. Graded into as many divisions as team numbers support — from the top grade down — so there’s a competitive home for every side.
Played Monday nights. Also graded into as many divisions as numbers support. The more teams that enter, the richer the competition — spread the word.
Planned for Sunday evenings from 5:00pm — social-competitive, all levels, min. two female players on court. Running subject to team numbers. Register interest ↓
Senior competitions play on Monday nights, with the new Senior Mixed comp on Sundays. Divisions and nights are subject to final team entries.
Our Summer senior competition uses the same structured three-stage model as the junior competition — designed to deliver fairer grading, better matches and stronger divisions. Rather than locking divisions on day one, the season opens with a grading phase that gives every team the chance to find the right level.
Assess team strength and establish an initial grading position through mini-game matchups.
Confirm preliminary grading using full-game results, with re-grading still possible to get the divisions right.
Run the official competition season in locked divisions — the real deal.
Delivered via PlayHQ. All three stages of the competition are managed and delivered through PlayHQ. Fixtures, ladders, results and team information are available through your PlayHQ account or the PlayHQ app.
The top 4 teams in each division qualify for finals, played in the same locked divisions as Stage 3. Semi-finals run across two weeks, with winners advancing to the Grand Final.

A brand-new mixed senior competition on Sunday evenings from 5:00pm — social-competitive basketball for teams of mates, partners and colleagues. We’re building the season around your interest right now.
Senior Mixed is exactly what the name suggests — a mixed competition where every team fields a mix of male and female players, with a minimum of two female players on court at all times.
It sits alongside our Mens and Womens competitions for players who want something more social, less rigid, and inherently inclusive. One grade, no Mens-vs-Womens split, and a Sunday-evening slot that suits people with full-time jobs, families, and weekends already booked.
The only thing we need before locking in a start date is enough team interest. If that’s you — or even if you’re an individual still hunting for a team — the form below puts you on the launch list.
Indicative facts, all subject to confirmation as team numbers firm up.
Heads up: these are indicative. Final fee, exact tip-off times and season dates are confirmed once team interest is locked. Anyone on the EOI list gets the news first.
Your name on the list does two things: it tells us we have enough interest to commit, and it puts you first in line when registration opens. No commitment, no obligation — just an early heads-up.

The WBA’s Behavioural Management Framework applies across both Junior and Senior competitions. Our goal is a safe, respectful environment for every player, coach, official, and spectator.
Any player or coach who receives a behavioural technical foul and is ejected from a game will receive an automatic one-game suspension, effective from the following round.
Spectators who are abusive toward game officials will be issued a formal warning card — the first step in a clear, consistent escalation process.
If abusive behaviour continues after a warning card, a team/bench technical foul will be awarded, followed by ejection from the venue if the behaviour does not cease.
The full Senior Domestic Playing Conditions include every competition rule — grading, fill-in rules, finals eligibility, and the Behavioural Management Framework. All players, coaches and team officials are encouraged to review the document before the season commences.
Good luck to all teams for Summer 2026/27 — let’s make it one to remember.
